how to pay

Membership fees become due on 1 January each year. They should be paid promptly to ensure uninterrupted continuation of membership and access to services.

Fees can be paid by various means.

Credit/debit card

  • Renewal membership fees can be paid by credit or debit card by logging into My CIPFA. Invoices are located in 'My purchases'.
  • You can also pay by card over the phone - please call the Membership team to make your payment.

Please note: we do not accept American Express.

Online/telephone banking

When making payment please quote the invoice number and account name 'CIPFA'.

For pre-payment of application fees and subscriptions please quote your membership number.

Payment should be sent to Lloyds TSB Bank Plc:

  • Account number: 00786252
  • Sort code 30-92-32

Cheque

Please either enclose a copy of the renewal invoice with your payment or include your invoice number and membership number on the reverse of the cheque.

  • Cheques should be made payable to CIPFA and crossed. 
  • All payments must be made in sterling for the full amount.
  • CIPFA will not accept any bank charges incurred.

Direct Debit

Renewal subscriptions can be paid by direct debit at no extra charge.

Print, complete and return the direct debit form (PDF, 27 KB). Your membership number should be entered into the 'Reference Number' box on the form.

  • For annual direct debits the full amount of the membership subscription will be deducted on 15 January each year.
  • Monthly direct debits are collected on the fifteenth day of each month over a six-month period (January to June).
