The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the CIPFA Group and www.cipfa.org.

CIPFA only collects personal information about you (for example your name, address, telephone number, email address) when you specifically provide us with such information on a voluntary basis, for example when purchasing or enquiring about events or publications online. Any personal information we collect via our web site will never be released or sold to any companies or individuals outside of CIPFA without your express permission or where required to do so by law.

We will not share your personal information for marketing or any other purposes without your express consent unless where required to do so by law. If you have registered your interest with CIPFA and/or any of our associated companies, and thereby given your consent, you may be contacted with relevant promotions, offers or information that you have expressed an interest in or that might be of interest to you.

All electronic mailings sent out by CIPFA provide direct links to a preference page where you can opt out of ALL electronic mailings. Our online surveys ask visitors for contact information (like their email address). We use contact data from our surveys to send the user information about our company.

Registered users may opt out of receiving electronic mailings by managing their mailing preferences via My CIPFA.

We run competitions on our site in which we ask visitors for contact information (like their email address). We use contact data from our competitions to send users information about our company.

Information Processing

Your personal information may be processed and used by any of other our offices and by members of staff. This may include offices outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). We may also share your personal information across the CIPFA Group so they can provide you with relevant products and services.

Your personal information is safe with us and will never be released to companies outside the CIPFA Group for their marketing purposes without your express consent. However, data may be processed by suppliers such as mail houses, email providers and printing companies, to enable our own marketing activities.

Our online store

Our online shop uses a secure server. Any information associated with your account is strictly between you and CIPFA. We do not share your information with other companies except where you give us explicit permission to do so. We are certified by World Pay as a valid internet business. Your credit card number is encrypted before it is sent across the internet. We do not store your encrypted credit card information. This is why you will need to enter your card number every time you make an online purchase with us.
