Extraordinary General Meeting of the CIPFA European Group and CIPFA Europe Annual Seminar (2012)
17 January 2013

CIPFA Europe's 2012 annual seminar was held in 2013, a few weeks later than usual, to enable invited speakers to attend.

This was followed by an Extraordinary General Meeting of the CIPFA European Group, at which Ross Walton was appointed as Chair of the European Group, replacing Leslie Milne. Leslie agreed to remain on the committee to provide help and support to the new Chair. Ross works at Eurocontrol and has long been an active member of the CIPFA European Group.

Ross Walton

The new Chair of CIPFA Europe, Ross Walton, is a career public sector auditor working for EUROCONTROL, the european organisation for air navigation safety in Brussels.  He trained with CIPFA at the National Audit Office in London, qualifying in 1993.  In 1995 he was seconded to the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg, and in 1997 became an official of EUROCONTROL.  From January 2009 to December 2011 he was seconded to the SESAR Joint Undertaking, a joint venture of EUROCONTROL, the European Commission and the aviation industry, as its Internal Auditor.
