CIPFA North West is divided into two areas by the River Mersey.

The Northern section covers Cumbria, Lancashire, and parts of Manchester and north Merseyside.

The Southern section includes Cheshire, parts of Derbyshire and Manchester, and south Merseyside.

The next meeting of the North West Society Council will be on 19th July at 1.30pm in Liverpool, venue to be confirmed.

Date for your diary

The CIPFA North West Society Annual Conference and Dinner will take place on Thursday 14 November 2013. The Conference theme will be ‘Embracing the Future’ and will be a celebration of the achievements of CIPFA members. More to follow...

Mike Thomas

Mike ThomasMike Thomas is the secretary of the North West region. 

Mike has worked for the Audit Commission as a District Auditor for the past 12 years, having previously worked in the private sector for KPMG and Robson Rhodes. 

He began his career in Local Government with Liverpool City Council before spending time working at Bradford Council. Mike is now working for Grant Thornton.
