international training for public sector finance and accounting qualification to expand

The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) has selected Kaplan Financial to be the provider of training for their professional qualification along with their own in house Education and Training Centre (CETC).  The CIPFA qualification is the only one worldwide designed and developed for the public sector.

Partnering with Kaplan, the leading innovator in the delivery of training for professional qualifications, will make the CIPFA professional qualification (CPFA) more widely available and with a greater choice of study methods.

CETC currently supports the delivery of a wide range of certificate and diploma models for public sector organisations in Africa and central and eastern Europe. For the first time, Kaplan will offer Live Online tuition to support the full CIPFA professional qualification for anyone with access to the internet.  Scheduled classes allow tutors and students to connect through both live audio and chat rooms to encourage active discussion and interactive learning in real time.  One tutor delivers the lecture while a second tutor responds to students with immediate answers to their questions via Instant Messaging.

Kaplan’s Live Online sessions will also be recorded and made available to students on demand. The programme may be supplemented by classroom-based revision courses, subject to demand.

Initially aimed at students requiring the UK-focussed CPFA designation, this is the first time that full tuition will be available worldwide to support this.

Giles Orr, Head of CETC said:

‘CIPFA and Kaplan together will be offering future generations of students the best possible value and the highest degree of flexibility. I’m delighted the future of the CIPFA qualification is in such excellent hands’

Peter Anderson, Kaplan Financial Director said:
'Kaplan is delighted to have been chosen as CIPFA's training partner. We are looking forward to bringing our innovative learning solutions to the critically important area of public financial management.'
