Fringe Events - Tuesday 17 June 2008

CIPFA 2008 had even more of interest for delegates arriving early in Brighton. As well as the traditional fringe lecture, an International Seminar showcased CIPFA’s international strategy.

Delegates arriving in Brighton early had the chance to attend CIPFA’s International Seminar showcasing CIPFA’s International Strategy and current developments.

Speakers included:

  • Mark Lowcock, Director General, Country Programmes, Department for International Development
  • Monica Rubiolo, Deputy Head, FDEA
  • Zdenka Vidovic, Center of Excellence in Finance

Fringe Lecture from John Prescott, 4.45pm

 Tony Blair’s number two for ten years’ the former deputy prime minister looked back at his time in politics and parliament.

The Fringe Lecture was a must attend event and was immensely popular with those arriving at conference on Tuesday afternoon.
