CIPFA Exhibitions 2008/ 2009

CIPFA organises a number of conferences and courses throughout the year dedicated to specific subjects providing a unique opportunity to promote your organisation to a very targeted audience of between 100 to 200 delegates. A limited number of exhibition spaces are available at each event as well as a variety of items suitable for sponsorship. These include stage sets, notepads, pens, lunches and delegate folders. All the two day events have a conference dinner and all exhibitors and sponsors are welcome to attend. CIPFA AUDIT CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION 2009

This conference, certainly the leading event for public sector audit, is always a must-attend date in the audit community. With the conference featuring a very high-profile range of speakers and addressing the most topical issues of the day, CIPFA continues to expand and improve this event. CIPFA CENTRAL GOVERNMENT CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION 2008
7 OCTOBER 2008 - LONDON

The conference is the premier event in CIPFA’s Central Government calendar, tackling the current issues to bring forward finance’s prominence in the sector. The day covers policy and technical proposals and will update senior professionals on key issues driving current financial changes. The conference is aimed at senior staff with responsibility for a finance role from across the central government sector including Government departments, agencies and NDPBs, central government advisors from the private sector and other colleagues who wish to be fully advised of the financial issues. Delegate numbers are usually 120.

CIPFA IT AUDIT & SECURITY UPDATE 2009

CIPFA PRUDENTIAL CODE CONFERENCE AND EXHIBTION 2008 7 NOVEMBER - LONDON

The CIPFA Prudential Code has introduced significant new freedoms - and responsibilities - for local government.  The increased ability to pursue capital or revenue options can lead to major opportunities.  How this development can be best exploited will form the focus of the day, with practical examples from local government practitioners and advisers.

CIPFA IN SCOTLAND ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND EXHIBTION 2008
19 & 20 MARCH 2009 – EICC, EDINBURGH

The CIPFA in Scotland Annual Conference is established as the major conference on financial management in the public services in Scotland.  The conference is our flagship event where we debate, consider and reflect on the major public policy issues of the day.  The audience will comprise of finance and non-finance professionals alike who share a common interest in raising standards at the heart of public services. With over 300 executives at the highest level in public finance will attend, including chief executives, directors of finance and elected members from virtually all thirty-two local authorities in Scotland.  Senior delegates from the health sector, utilities, housing, central government and the private sector, will also be invited to attend along with local dignitaries and key figures from government.

As in previous years the conference is a two day event and we are delighted to be returning to the EICC – a fantastic and dedicated conference venue in the heart of Edinburgh.  The conference programme provides delegates with a mix of plenary and panel sessions along with the ability to choose workshops to tailor there experience from our extensive list. CIPFA SHARED SERVICES CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION 2009

This event is aimed at those who are who are involved in or considering the benefits of implementing a shared services strategy.  In previous years it  has attracted key decision-makers and senior practitioners from a cross-section of public services organisations, including local and central government departments and agencies, the NHS, police authorities, local authority housing and social services. The aim of the conference is to bring delegates up to date with the case for Shared Services in public services departments and to provide an insight into what financial gains can realistically be achieved by adopting Shared Services models. The event is aimed at chief executives, finance directors, deputy finance directors, senior finance managers, finance managers, accountants, chief accountants, business development managers and Shared Services department staff. It is also suitable for those who want to gain a better understanding of the practicalities of this new agenda.

CIPFA TREASURY MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION 2008
22 OCTOBER - LONDON

This year’s event has a highly topical agenda.  Against the background of credit-crisis management, and an uncertain economic future, public sector treasury managers really do have their work cut out.  The conference will focus on the current and likely future climate, and more specifically, how senior local government treasury managers ought to be positioning themselves and their authorities.  The final programme includes sessions on reviewing the relationship between banks and local government; contingency planning for a downturn in the economy; action points for local governement treasurers in the post-credit squeeze world; and a UK debt management update.

The CIPFA in Wales Annual Conference attracts up to 120 delegates, the majority of whom are influential senior finance professionals working within public sector organisations in Wales, especially local government, health, audit and central government. As in previous years, the conference will incorporate the CIPFA in Wales Annual Dinner on the first evening at the conference hotel.
