IFRS: How to tell the story
CIPFA has published a briefing note IFRS: How to tell the story which aims to help Chief Financial Officers present the 2010/11 accounts to members. The 2010/11 accounts will be the first set of local authority accounts to be prepared under IFRS, and the briefing note shows how key information can be identified in the new formats.
The guide on Accounting & Auditing Standards: A Public Services Perspective provides useful background information on IFRS and other standards.
CIPFA will be releasing IFRS publications in response to demand over the coming months.
The CIPFA Finance Advisory Network will also be providing a range of ‘how to’ guides and a regular Local Government IFRS bulletin on IFRS to its members.
