The CIPFA Scottish Students' Society supports CIPFA students at all stages of their studies, and promotes the CIPFA student agenda in Scotland.
The society allows student concerns to be heard within CIPFA in Scotland and CIPFA nationally, via the Scotland Executive Committee, the Board for the Regions and the National Student Forum.
The Society runs seminars and events for part-qualified CIPFA
students, though newly-qualified CPFAs are also welcome to attend. These
events are designed to supplement the learning provided by the CIPFA
Professional Qualification and equip students with the skills needed to
thrive in today’s Public Sector, while providing a forum for students to
network and socialise with their peers.
The society is run by an executive committee, representing students from a variety of employment areas and examination stages.
A network for students and newly qualified accountants across the Scottish public services.
The Talent Wave is open to students and members of CIPFA as well as any accountant operating in or close to the public sector. It offers a way for Scottish public finance practitioners to interact with one another and share their knowledge and experience.
Keep up-to-date on upcoming events and seminars looking at exam technique, formatting the perfect Practical Experience Portfolio, and building soft skills such as networking and team building.
