The Well-being of Future Generations Act - and you!

We are now living and breathing the Well-being of Future Generations Act, but how are we as finance professionals changing the way we work to best support it?

Our interactive CPD session is aimed at CIPFA practitioners across Wales. A 90-minute Masterclass will consider the Act from a number of perspectives, including how practice is developing across the nation to meet the objectives of this world-leading legislation. Following the Masterclass, breakout sessions will explore “what does this mean for me?” from the perspective of the five ways of working: integration, collaboration, long-term, prevention and involvement.

You will hear from those working on the Act first hand – including the Future Generations Commissioner’s Office, Wales Audit Office, Vale of Glamorgan Council and PwC. There will be the opportunity for Q&As discussions around the skills we may need to develop to meet the challenges ahead. The morning will round off with an explanation of how CIPFA is here to help us all.

Hosted at the Wales Audit Office, Cathedral Road, Cardiff on Thursday 7th September, the session will kick-off with coffee and a breakfast bap, courtesy of our sponsor, PwC.
