CIPFA and SOLACE: Budget response
In a joint response to the Budget, CIPFA and SOLACE have called for medium term spending plans to be published that will allow public bodies to plan ahead.
The response stresses that public bodies can and should begin to develop plans for managing the funding challenges ahead, but an urgent priority for Government, post the General Election, must be the development and publication of new medium term spending plans for all services.
The joint Budget briefing updates the CIPFA/SOLACE report, After the Downturn, in light of the 2010 Budget Statement. The briefing is available here. |
