The CIPFA Local Authority Accounting Conference

The Local Authority Accounting Conference is being held at the Ashford International Hotel in Kent. This popular conference usually attracts over 150 delegates each year, all of whom are influential senior finance professionals. The CIPFA Shared Services Conference
London, March 2008
CIPFA will be hosting its second one-day Shared Services conference in March 2008, intended for finance professionals from across the public sector, who are involved in implementing a shared services strategy. Over 70 delegates attended the inaugural event in 2007 and we anticipate a larger audience in future as the conference becomes an established feature of the CIPFA calendar.
The CIPFA Audit Conference
Southampton, 23-25 April 2008
This Annual Conference is held over two and a half days and attracts around 200 heads of audit, the majority working in local government. There are also representatives from the health service, housing, central government and further and higher education. The theme for 2008 is ‘The Road to Excellence’. The venue is the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, and the conference dinner will be held on board HMS Warrior.
