About the Panel
Panel Meetings
The Academies, Colleges and Universities Panel meets four times a year and is currently working on a number of projects. They include:
- a revised version of higher education finance
- a revised guide to the role of the director of finance in higher education (in association with BUFDG)

The Role of the Panel
The Academies, Colleges and Universities Panel reports to the Institute's Public Finance and Management Board and is responsible for:
- considering accounting, audit, financial management and business risk assessment and control issues as they affect academies, colleges and universities;
- responding to consultation/discussion papers and exposure drafts issued by Government, professional, regulatory and other bodies;
- developing, promoting and maintaining best practice, standards and guidelines and the production and dissemination of relevant advice and material for members and employers, on issues falling within the Panel's areas of responsibility; and
- establishing positive and productive professional relationships with Government, government departments and agencies, professional regulators and other bodies falling within the Panel's areas of responsibility.
