CIPFA Wales Cymru – A New Region? A new CIPFA Region for Wales has been proposed and members and students affected will be formally balloted from mid-August. Prior to this the CIPFA Wales Cymru Executive would welcome your response to this proposal. Please click here for more detail about the consultation.

Free training for commissioners and finance officers
The Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) has partnered CIPFA to deliver a comprehensive training programme for commissioners and finance staff across the public sector. Courses will increase awareness and understanding of the third sector, help improve engagement and enable greater access to specialist knowledge that will benefit the delivery of public service.

Core Activities Model
The Board for the Regions has issued a guidance booklet on the Regional Activities Model. The booklet covers all aspects of the model developed by the regional network to assist Regional Councils and Committees in their development planning process and to monitor performance in key areas of regional activity. Copies are being sent to all Regional Councils/Committees.
