International Fraud Awareness Week 2017

The CIPFA Counter Fraud Centre proudly supports this global initiative to promote anti-fraud awareness and education.

This week is International Fraud Awareness Week and to mark the occasion, we’re holding a special Summit on the importance of innovation in tackling public sector fraud.

Hosted by EY, the Summit brings together leading counter fraud practitioners and thought leaders. The focus is on finding new ways of working and using tried and tested methodologies in different, creative ways.

Alongside sessions on the new National Cyber Security Strategy, the London Counter Fraud Hub and understanding procurement fraud, we’re delighted to welcome two winners from the recent Government Counter Fraud Awards.

They will be sharing their winning nominations while a panel discussion later in the day – featuring individuals from local and central government and the third sector – will address different approaches to countering fraud.

The Summit is now sold out but we'll be sharing some thoughts on the day soon.
