Welfare Reform

04-09-2012

Over the last two months, the Government has released draft regulations for its Welfare Reform programme affecting Local Authority benefit services. Although these regulations remain in draft form and could still be subject to amendment and a number of changes, Local Authorities can now begin planning in earnest for their part in the implementation of the reforms.

This latest series of Cipfa Benefits Consortium events looks at the responsibilities placed on Local Authorities by these reforms and how they may approach delivering those responsibilities. They examine the impact of each of these changes and the work required of Local Authorities to ensure successful delivery of Welfare Reform.
