The National Fraud Authority have published their strategy for local government. The aim of the strategy is to better protect local authorities from fraud and improve their ability to detect and handle it.

The strategy has been developed by the Fighting Fraud Locally Oversight Board which included the NFA, local government representatives, CIPFA, LAIOG and other bodies.

CIPFA's TISonline fraud section and BGF website contain resources that support the strategy including the Red Book, Managing the Risks of Fraud which is recommended by Fighting Fraud Locally.

Webchat is available Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (excluding UK bank holidays).
