In July 2014 the FAN and CSFAN delivered a series on 'Alternative service delivery models' which covered the following:
Examining the range of models available : What are the benefits and risks of different models, and what opportunity and challenge does it bring?
Structures of different models : Considering the operational and financial aspects of different models:
Establishing the model and operational considerations : An overview of some of the key areas that the chosen model will impact on i.e. procurement, data, stakeholders, back office support
The Business Case and Cost Benefit Analysis : The importance of a robust business case, together with credible cost benefit analysis will be discussed.
Sink or Swim ?: The reasons why alternative delivery models prosper or fail will be examined.
Case study : Spark of Genius and Stockton on Tees BC: This session examined the establishment of their recent Joint venture company which support children with behavioural, social and emotional difficulties.
Accounting for ASDMs: Looking at the new accounting requirements and the differences between joint collaborations.
