David Ellis joined CIPFA in July 2012 as a FAN advisor, after a 30-year career in local government. David possesses an extensive knowledge and practical understanding of local authority statements of accounts and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)-based Code of Practice, and uses that knowledge and experience to provide support and advice to practitioners across the public sector in his role as FAN Advisor. Robert qualified with CIPFA in 2007 and was the Acting Financial Services Manager at City of Lincoln Council, prior to taking up that role he was Group Accountant at the authority for five years. Robert is committed to keeping up-to-date and studied and gained the CIPFA/ICAEW Certificate in international public sector financial reporting (Cert IPSFR) in 2011 and is passionate about sharing his knowledge with others.
