The LGA and CIPFA have jointly-funded a commission on local government finance. Its website is here. The commissioners are chaired by Darra Singh – a partner at Ernst & Young – and include local government experts like Tony Travers and Stephen Hughes (ex. CEO at Birmingham), other experts and former civil servants.
