Two months before the elections of the first Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs), the CIPFA Police Network held three regional events on the final practical preparations needed for their introduction. These events followed on from our successful Countdown to PCCs events in May.
We provided the latest on the secondary legislation and guidance under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act and what it means for forces and authorities (and PCCs). With police authorities and forces well into their transition programmes, we then focused specifically on police and crime plans and the new accounting arrangements.
