The pressure on public service funding will almost certainly increase even further over the next five years. Police and Crime Commissioners and Chief Constables will face a sustained challenge to use limited resources in the most effective way.
Our CIPFA Police Conference on 4 November 2014 explored some of the main factors which will shape the expectations on the service and the ways in which leaders and managers are balancing demands and resources. Recognising the vital role played by PCCs in meeting national and local objectives within reducing budgets, our conference was chaired by Paddy Tipping, PCC for Nottinghamshire.
We would like to thank all of our speakers and delegates for their contributions to the day. The materials from the events are attached below.
