New Web pages, online documents and networking events

As you can see, a number of changes have been made to the Sharing the Gain website, including a new look, more online resources and a range of key links. Documents recently uploaded include:

• Financial models covering all corporate services – to support the shared business case
• Leadership guidance on managing collaborative change, and
• The 50 key risks in shared services – and what to do about them.

Events and networking opportunities

Two free networking events are being organised at CIPFA's HQ for public sector personnel in shared services and collaborative working. The event on 13 May will provide an opportunity for us to hear what you think about the Sharing the Gain report and other outputs, as well as to share experiences about developing collaborative services.

The 3 June event will look particularly at issues around the "Shared services business case", and provide an opportunity to look under the bonnet of CIPFA's financial models for shared services.

Before this, CIPFA is also running an important paid-for event in London on 20 April. Shared Services – An Option for Balancing Your Budget includes a range of platform presentations and case studies.
