IPDS

Your students are only eligible to apply for CIPFA membership once they have completed an IPDS portfolio of learning and it has been assessed as ‘ready to submit’. When the application for membership is approved your employees will be entitled to use the designatory letters ‘CPFA’ after their name.

Employers play a crucial role in helping their employees successfully complete the requirements of IPDS as students must submit a log of workplace experience evidence of the activities that they have undertaken. Central to the portfolio of evidence is the requirement to have undertaken 400 days of relevant workplace experience, and the student’s employer is required to confirm this experience at each stage.
