The programme is suitable for all who use or prepare financial statements in the public sector.

Who has developed this programme?
The Cert IPSFR is an IFRSs and IPSASs e-learning programme for the public sector developed by CIPFA and the ICAEW. ICAEW also have an IFRSs e-learning programme for the private sector.

Do I need a specific qualification to do the programme?
Entry requirements are not necessary before starting the programme.

How much does the programme cost?
£595 +VAT

When I have ordered the programme, how long do I have access for?
12 months from date of activation. The activation date is when you receive your log in details, which will be within 3 days of purchasing the programme.

How long will the programme take me to complete?
On average, we recommend 70 hours study time. This may vary depending on your level of prior knowledge and experience.

How will I learn?
When you purchase the programme, you will be sent log in details to access the interactive online learning environment.

How do I access the interactive online learning materials?

How does the programme add to the knowledge that I would gain by only studying the standards?
The programme gives an overview of the international standards in a user friendly way. It takes the accounting-speak out of the standards and puts them into general business language.

Online Assessment

How do I access the assessment?
The assessment is located within the interactive online learning environment. It is available using any computer capable of accessing the internet, so it can be taken any time, anywhere.

How long is the assessment?
You will have two hours to complete the assessment

What type of questions will I be asked?
The assessment consists of 60 multiple-choice questions.

Is each assessment different?
Yes. The assessment uses a bank of many hundreds of questions which are selected at random.

How can I practice for the assessment?
After most learning modules you can undertake a module test, that will help you prepare for the final assessment.

What is the pass mark?
70%.

When will I receive my results?
Once you submit your answers, your assessment result will appear immediately.

Is there a formal certificate or certificate of completion?
When you pass the online assessment, you can download and print your certificate immediately, demonstrating successful completion of the programme.

Are credits awarded for prior learning?
There are no prerequisites and no prior learning credits available for the programme.
