Postgraduate Diploma for Public Finance & Leadership (PDPFL)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Public Finance & leadership (PDPFL) is the highly successful joint qualification from the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and prestigious Warwick Business School (WBS).

It is a residential programme that runs over two-years (part-time) and is an excellent way to gain a professional finance qualification as well as develop corporate strategic leadership skills.

This course is designed for executive level managers from across the public and third sector who wish to obtain a full Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountancy (CIPFA) qualification in two years, CIPFA membership, and the Warwick Diploma in a stimulating and stretching course of study.

Our innovative programme combines WBS strategic management and leadership expertise with accountancy training from CIPFA.  The Diploma in Public Finance and Leadership is unique, bringing together knowledge and skills in both accountancy and financial management and public sector leadership and management that no other qualification can match.

The programme contains 6 modules:

On successful completion of the diploma participants gain exemption from the Certificate and Diploma levels of the CIPFA Professional Accountancy award.

Eligibility
You will be a Finance Director or equivalent grade with significant management responsibilities and financial management experience or exposure. 

Previous experience is subject to approval.

You will need a good first degree, at least a 2:1 from a UK university or an equivalent from an overseas institution.

We will consider exceptional managers who do not fulfil this criterion, but please contact us to discuss your application in advance.

Entry deadline
We suggest you submit your application as early as possible, but by 30 November 2010 at the latest. Applications received after this date will be considered but may be deferred to a later intake.
