6. Minimum data requirement

To ensure the spirit of collaboration and sharing amongst the benchmarking community, by signing up to the full service subscription you agree that your organisation will return data for a minimum of five clubs during the subscription period.

If you do not return data for at least five clubs, reports and data may be withheld.

Please note that this term is not relevant if you have signed up for individual clubs only.

7. Returning late data

Data received after the deadline for the return of club data will be processed at CIPFA’s discretion.

Where data is so late that the other club members have not been able to benefit from it, the only tailored report issued will be the comparison against all members (or by tier where relevant). The identities of the other members returning data will be anonymised, and the club database, interactive report tool and club scrapbook will not be available.

Partial supply of data may also result in a reduced service.

No outputs will be available if you do not contribute valid data for that club. However, all subscribers will receive access to national reports displaying key metrics for all clubs on an anonymised basis.

8. Data confidentiality

By returning data, members will be deemed to have authorised CIPFA to make their data available to other club members.

Club members should not divulge data about other club members to anyone but immediate colleagues. Under no circumstances should data be passed on to third parties.

CIPFA reserves the right to use data from this exercise to inform other work and data may be made available to third parties on an anonymised basis. However, an individual organisation's data will not be publicly identified without prior permission.

9. Club contact

Each subscriber should designate a contact for each club for which they will be providing data, who must be an employee of the organisation. All club communications and outputs will only be sent to this contact.

Where the area being benchmarked is outsourced, or is part of a partnership arrangement, under no circumstances should data that names, or can be used to identify, other members be made available to employees of the contractor or partnership.
