Journal of Finance and Management in Public Services Annual Conference 2009.
June 2009 saw colleagues from many universities meet in Manchester to listen and contribute to a range of excellent research papers.
The presentations ranged from the results of extensive research studies such as the work of Laurence Ferry, Alan Boyd and Adrian Nelson through to our new researchers Natalie Kite and Rachel Edden who introduced us to their research plans.
The JFMPS conference continues to offer stimulating academic debate within a friendly and supportive environment and by doing so we see many returning delegates.
The 2009 conference saw us cooperate with CIPFA and their annual conference. JFMPS delegates were able to attend the main CIPFA sessions over the two days following our academic conference where a range of international and political commentators shared their views with conference. We hope to repeat this experience in 2010 at the CIPFA Harrogate conference.
