As shown by high profile governance failures in managing contracts by some local public bodies, there is a clear need to improve the skills of those who are responsible for managing contracts with external organisations.
This qualification takes a highly applied and focused approach. While completing it, you will develop the wide range of knowledge, understanding, and cognitive and practical skills needed to manage contracts effectively.
The Certificate is aimed at new staff who have specific responsibility for contract management as well as experienced staff who have had no formal structured training or who would like to update their knowledge and skills.
The course specialises in public sector contract management, making it relevant to staff working at various levels in all public bodies, including central government, non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs), local government, health and education.
The Certificate in Contract Management is delivered over 10 days in a six month period.
When you successfully complete the eight modules and associated assessment, you will be awarded the Certificate in Management Practice (Contract Management Skills) which is equivalent to NQF Level 3.
This accredited programme is offered both in-house and at locations across the UK.
