Giving you the management and leadership skills you need to advance your career in the public services
Many professional qualifications don’t prepare you with the skills you will need as your career advances. This training programme forms an integral part of CIPFA’s wider management and leadership pathway and focuses on how to manage individuals and teams, improve performance, communicate effectively and influence colleagues and senior managers.

It will also allow you to discuss common issues with peers and management and leadership experts in an open and inclusive environment and give you practical skills you can take back to your organisation.
This programme is ideal if you have completed a professional qualification and have some middle management experience. It will help you to prepare for the next step in your career.
Eight modules and two reflective sessions over an eight to nine month period and assessment approximately two months after course completion.
Assessment for this programme is optional and includes a portfolio of evidence, which combines the application of learning to the workplace, and a work-based project. If you choose to be assessed and are successful, you will gain a qualification equivalent to a Level Four diploma in leadership and management.
The eight-module programme has been accredited as equivalent to Diploma Level Four on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).
This accredited programme is offered both in-house and at locations across the UK.
