Speaker - Brendan McCarron: Academy Facilitator and CIPFA Senior Associate

Brendan McCarron

Brendan is CIPFA’s Senior Leadership and Development Consultant, tasked with designing and delivering a number of major CIPFA programmes. He leads CIPFA’s Leadership Academy for Serving and Aspiring CFOs in the UK and for the Government of Canada. He is also heavily involved in CIPFA’s Finance Business Partnering work and in change management assignments in the UK and in Europe.

Speaker - Paul Clarke - Strategic Finance Manager

Paul Clarke

Paul is currently Strategic Finance Manager for Westminster City Council. Paul heads up the Projects and Continuous Improvement Team responsible for delivering transformation and cultural change. Paul has previously worked within Blackpool Council and Oldham Council in a variety of roles covering both Corporate Finance functions and Business Partnering. Paul became interested in exploring the Business Partnering subject when asked to lead a transformation to the model from a traditional accountancy structure. Since then he has become an expert in the Business Partnering field, completing academic research into the subject.
