About this event

The tax position of off payroll workers is an area of specific focus for the tax authorities and the rules governing this are changing rapidly. Legislation introduced in April 2017 has increased the responsibilities and risks of engaging with off payroll workers and anyone responsible for engaging staff should be aware of the challenges that this can create and the potentially significant costs of getting things wrong.

This event will explore the changing tax environment and provide practical steps to navigate the complexity and establish appropriate procedures for engaging with workers. Mohamed Hans

Mohamed Hans joined CIPFA in 2004 after working as a senior commercial solicitor for a number of West Yorkshire local authorities. He is an expert on the European Public Procurement Rules and has written extensively on this topic as well as developed widely used practitioner toolkits. He is also invited to speak at conferences (UK and abroad) and is often the first point of contact for practitioners understanding complex procurement issues.
