Operating from modern open plan offices, with plenty of break out areas we work collaboratively to share knowledge, providing you with opportunities to help shape our business. We encourage our staff to raise suggestions for improving the organisation and to recognise and value certain behaviours which support CIPFA’s culture.
25 days Annual leave is plus bank holidays. In addition staff may have up to 3 extra days holiday during the Christmas period when offices are closed.
We offer a generous group pension plan with AEGON contributing up to 10% ( dependent on how much you contribute), season ticket travel loan, company sick pay, and enhanced family-friendly policies - including a generous childcare allowance for children under 5 not in full time education. We also offer salary sacrifice schemes for childcare vouchers and the Government’s Cycle to Work scheme. We agree corporate rates with local gyms and businesses and staff are also able to access the CIPFA Rewards scheme.
It’s not all work and no play here at CIPFA, we have a long tradition of supporting other charities. Staff organise a range of fund raising events throughout the year ranging from competitive bake offs to food bank collections. We recognise that staff may have other charities they would like to offer their personal support to in their own time. Our volunteer policy allows up to 2 days paid time off for staff to support a registered charity of their choice.
In order to take care of our employees emotional wellbeing should they need confidential counselling or practical expert advice we provide free access to an employee assistance helpline who can provide you and your family with information, practical advice or emotional support covering a variety of personal, family or workplace issues.

There are a range of development opportunities for staff to learn including on the job training, mentoring, working in special project teams and taking part in our CIPFA Ambassador Programme to promote CIPFA at external events such as university careers fairs.
Here at CIPFA we ensure that all our staff have the opportunity to grow to their full potential by providing employees with the financial support to participate in vocational or professional studies. We also ensure you get the time required to complete your studies by allowing time off for study leave and to revise and sit exams.
