Pete Smith has been a CIPFA member for over 30 years, and a Section 151 officer for 14 years, but has now retired as Head of Finance at Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council. He was Past President of the Society of Municipal Treasurers. Pete was a long-standing member of CIPFA’s Local Government Policy Panel. He is also a former CIPFA Examiner and Chair of the Senior Management Group in the North West and North Wales Region.
