Run by students, for students
Who we are
We are a community of current and recent students that represents the views and interests of students within CIPFA. Made up of volunteers from across all regions sitting on the student committee, we work along side CIPFA regions and student services.
What we do
The CIPFA Student Network (CSN) provides a voice for students, ensuring their interests are represented, and supports ongoing developments within the qualification. We work closely with regional student societies and supports local, national and international activities.
Our primary objectives are:
- supporting students throughout their journey through the Professional Qualification
- representing student concerns at the highest levels of CIPFA
- promoting CIPFA as a qualification to external stakeholders and markets
- advising key internal stakeholders
How we work
The CSN meets four or five times a year, including at national conferences, at locations across the UK. Work regularly undertaken by the committee includes planning and organising the annual student conference, investigation and consultation regarding qualification development (including CIPFA 2020) and supporting engagement strategies with students.
To ensure that the students' voice is heard, we have active representatives on all levels of CIPFA governance, including council and the students and members board.
How to get involved
