Overview of session:
This workshop from the Society of District Council Treasurer’s will look at current issues of particular concerns to District Councils including the review of the Business Rates Retention Scheme and Fair Funding Review, the importance of national and collaborative working, and the development of Capital Strategies by 2019/20.

Transformation in localities toolkit

Martin will present the findings of recent work with the District Councils’ Network to support district councils and their partners in delivering local collaboration, transformation and public sector reform. View slides


Developing Capital Strategies

CIPFA Codes require authorities to produce a Capital Strategy by 2019/20 – Lisa will discuss the challenges in developing a Capital Strategy and the opportunity this presents to improve delivery of strategic objectives with a dynamic and long term approach. View slides
