Earlier this year CIPFA consulted on the principles to support the changes to the Treasury Management in the Public Services Code of Practice and Cross-Sectoral Guidance Notes (Treasury Management Code), as well as on the changes to the Prudential Code for Capital Finance in Local Authorities.
CIPFA was pleased to receive over 100 responses to each consultation. CIPFA's summary of the consultation outcomes to the Prudential Code responses is available in the document the Prudential Code for Capital Finance in Local Authorities Consultation responses and proposed changes.
The consultation documents to expedite the changes are set out below and include:
- Draft Treasury Management Code (please note, tracked changes have been used here to show the proposed amendments)
- Draft Treasury Management in the Public Services Guidance Notes for Local Authorities Including Police Forces Bodies and Fire and Rescue Authorities – Extract of the Treasury Management Prudential Indicators
- Treasury Management Code consultation document including consultation
