Vacancy - Chair of the CIPFA Police and Fire Panel
Are you interested in raising the profile of finance in the police and fire sectors? Do you want to be at the core of CIPFA’s work in enhancing financial management and governance for police and fire services?
CIPFA has a vacancy for the Chair of the Police and Fire Panel. This panel is integral to CIPFA’s leadership in high quality public financial management and governance standards and guidance in the police and fire sectors. The panel is also the governance mechanism for the Achieving Finance Excellence in Policing programme and oversees four sub groups on: financial management; data and analytics; people development; and governance, audit, risk and assurance.
There are normally four panel meetings per year (as appropriate to the panel’s objectives and workplans for the year) and additional meetings regarding the work of the sub groups or the AFEP programme. The meetings take approximately half a day. The chair would be anticipated to chair relevant conferences and represent the panel.
For more details please consider the person specification and/or contact the secretary of the panel for an informal discussion.
