Welcome to the CIPFA Yorkshire and Humber region

UK mapCIPFA Yorkshire and Humber covers an area stretching from Chesterfield in the south to the River Tees in the north, and from the Pennines in the west to the North Sea in the east.

We support approximately 920 members (including students and retired members) who are, or have been, employed throughout the public services and private sector.

Local volunteers form an essential part of the regional network, and assist with our events throughout the year responding to key issues in the public sector. If you would like to get involved, no matter how little time you have to spare, please contact yorksandhumber@cipfa.org

And finally, a reminder for anyone who may need support. CIPFA’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub is available to you and anyone in your personal or workplace networks. The hub brings together information and support on a wide range of topics. Access is free of charge, anonymous and there’s no need to register.

Regional events

CIPFA and SOCITM

This is now the fourth year which regional members of CIPFA and the Society for Innovation, technology and Modernisation (SOCITM) have collaborated to put on events which focuses on key issues affecting members of both institutes. These events will be of interest to CIPFA colleagues involved in digital and technology projects both at a strategic and operational level and to those who provide financial leadership and support to their internal IT function.

More information and recordings of past events can be found on the Yorkshire and Humber events page.

Policy and guidance

Volunteering in your region

You could help your region to support members and students, in a variety of ways as a regional volunteer. We need the help of willing volunteers and have a broad range of opportunities for any member or student who is interested in getting involved.
