Job description, key responsibilities and experience 

Salary: £59,910 - £68,390 per annum (possible market supplement available depending on experience)

This role is the lead finance officer for the Corporation’s portfolio of major development projects, the largest that the organisation has taken on for several decades. This is a portfolio of projects of national interest and of significant scale. These include:

  • Moving Smithfield & Billingsgate market to Dagenham Docks
  • Moving and renovating the Museum of London
  • Construction of a new court and police building on Fleet Street
  • Renovating the Barbican Centre
  • Refurbishing and upgrading the Guildhall

This roles is responsible for working with project directors to ensure the delivery of the strategic objectives of each project, advising on value-for-money considerations, monitoring spend and key financial metrics and reviewing and challenging business cases for future spending. This role will manage 1 person. It would suit those with significant experience of providing financial advice on major capital projects.
