The last year has seen the strengthening of the finance resource since the appointment of a new Director of Finance, with the focus on providing a structure with increased strategic finance resources to make a ‘step change’ in how the Council manages its financial resources. A key strand of this is the move to a business partnering approach with more engagement from budget holders and finance staff providing analysis and strategic advice.
