Midlands, interim, six months, competitive day rate
We are searching for a Business and Financial Analyst a large local authority in the West Midlands. The role will be appointed on an interim basis for a period of at least six months.
The main duties in this role will be to provide insightful financial analysis and modelling to predict outcomes of various projects across all directorates, improving and automating financial and operational reports, implementing new models and improving/adjust existing models to achieve desirable outputs.
It may also involve some hands-on accounting work to analyse the performance and reports of each area, identifying and correcting any issues discovered and completing financial reports accordingly. Additionally, the successful applicant will support budget-holders, offering guidance on budgetary monitoring and service performance where necessary.
The successful applicant will ideally possess a finance qualification (CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA or ACA) and have previous experience of working within a finance team for another local authority organisation.
