Senior Finance Services Manager
West Midlands, interim, six months, competitive day rate
CIPFA-Penna are working in partnership with a local authority in Warwickshire to appoint an interim Senior Finance Manager for a period of six months. The primary focus of the role will be to lead the council through year-end closure of accounts and the subsequent liaison with the auditors.
Additionally, the successful candidate will provide leadership for the council's finance team, including partnership and guidance to a wide audience of staff (including councillors) and supporting the Section 151 Officer in the operation and development of council-wide financial activities.
We are searching for a fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with a proven track record of leading other local authorities through accounts closure processes and good experience of leading finance teams.
