The CIPFA FAN team, working again in partnership with Graham Liddell of LPFG Ltd, are delivering an extensive programme of accounts closedown and financial reporting webinars with separate events for English local authorities, English police bodies and authorities in Wales and Scotland.

This year's closedown workshops will cover the latest changes to the Code's requirements and current developments in relation to 2020/21 local authority financial reporting. They will also look at the findings from the Redmond Review and changes arising from the latest Code of Audit Practice, plus the accounting issues in relation to COVID-19. The key considerations for authorities in preparation for the introduction of IFRS 16 Leases will be covered, including updates on the latest consultation areas and the actions required ahead of transition.

Caroline has been a Finance Advisory Network advisor at CIPFA since early 2013. Prior to joining CIPFA, Caroline had 15 years practitioner experience at East Riding of Yorkshire Council during which she led the introduction of IFRS and the annual production of the statement of accounts for six years.
