About this event

The CAANZ Introduction to Finance Business Partnering e-learning course explores planning, preparing, monitoring and controlling budgets, as well as pricing and variance analysis. You will also be guided on how to ensure that your financial management is robust.

Learning outcomes

On completing the e-learning, you will:

  • understand the characteristics of good financial management and the role of the manager in planning, monitoring and controlling budgets
  • learn the procedures to plan, monitor and control budgets
  • gain knowledge of the principles of costing a service

Who is it aimed at?

The e-learning is designed primarily for those who have no formal qualifications in finance or accountancy but who, as part of their job roles, need to understand financial management activities and financial decision-making.

It is ideal for those who manage a budget or cost center as part of a non-finance role in the public sector.

How is it delivered?

The e-learning is delivered online via CIPFA's online learning environment. Detailed joining instructions will be sent to you.

How long will it take to complete?

The e-learning will take around four hours to complete. If you are studying online, you will have access to all of the learning materials for three months.
