Who should attend?

Everyone with an interest in emerging well from lockdown within adult social care and children's services, including service directors, heads of service, and those involved in commissioning, finance and performance.

The two day webinar events will enable delegates to:

  • Understand the impact of COVID-19 in 2020-21 – drawing on the research of the diverging impacts on councils from the pandemic
  • Better estimate the impact of COVID-19 through 2021-22 – drawing on the same research
  • Ensure the information presented to government provides the best prospect of covering all the financial impacts of the pandemic
  • Emerge from lockdown with plans to progressively reduce the impact of COVID-19 on adult social care and children's services in 2021-22 and future years
  • Better understand the context for spending in 2022-23 drawing on an analysis of the spending plans included in the March 2021 budget
  • Draw on the results of the independent review of adult social care in Scotland
  • Appreciate the implications of the CQC assessing the delivery of adult social care in the context of Ofsted's inspection of children's services
  • Use the evidence and discussion from the day to have a beneficial influence on the review of children's services
