Responding to COVID-19: insight, support and guidance

The government is starting to offer investment opportunities to kick-start economic growth as the vaccination programme is rolled out and restrictions are gradually lifted.
Highway authorities must prepare themselves to secure funding in a post-COVID environment. Most importantly, they must spend it wisely and in a way that tackles the network priorities for their area, and at the same time boost economic regeneration and green growth.
The 'levelling up' funding is particularly important for those authorities with communities who have been left behind following the closure of their traditional industries such as mining, shipbuilding and steel making.
We are starting to see growing demand in the sector for advice and support to update and refresh highways asset management plans and this will be the focus of the HAMP for this and the upcoming series of webinars.
The webinar will provide guidance and outline a framework to develop, update and review highway asset management plans. It will refresh and improve your knowledge and skills, and bring you up to date with asset management policy and strategy.
The day will be interactive, giving you the opportunity to find out what is happening across the sector and providing practical tools and guidance for you to apply back in your organisations.
This course is aimed at directors, heads of service and senior managers involved in the procurement, planning, design and delivery of highway maintenance programmes. It will also benefit highways maintenance service delivery partners who are looking to align their services with the needs of their partners in the sector.
