This event will cover the consideration of the purpose of asset management plans, performance measurement, linking assets to corporate aims and objectives, maintenance prioritisation and property review. We will conclude the day touching on some of the current hot topics that are creating significant interest including the response to COVID-19, corporate landlords, working with partners and community asset transfer.
Anyone who wants to broaden their knowledge of asset management and to keep abreast of current developments, including property professionals, service managers, finance professionals and those who have an interest or responsibility in the management or maintenance of buildings within the public sector.

David is a professionally qualified quantity surveyor with over 35 years’ experience in the public and private sectors. He has been with CIPFA since 1998 and in this time has become known as one of the leading UK experts on property and asset management within the public sector.
Dave is a qualified public service manager with extensive experience in the development and implementation of innovative public/private partnerships. Dave manages CIPFA’s Highways Asset Management Planning, Strategic Assets and Property Training Networks and advises on asset management, partnering and wider property issues throughout the UK.
