CIPFA do more than just finance.

Operational improvement, including service reviews and service transformation are key to ensuring that the public sector stays current. We work closely with our policy and training teams ensuring that we can bring key insights into our improvement projects, to deliver practical and pragmatic solutions.

How CIPFA has helped other organisations with their operational improvement

CIPFA Solutions has worked with Councils and other public sector bodies (eg, children’s trusts) to address service and performance issues in Finance and more generally across service teams.   CIPFA has delivered organisational change, culture change and change through business process re-engineering. More recently, CIPFA has led on the re-structure of a large Finance department where we undertook service and functional design to produce a fully costed new operating model supported by up-to-date and fit for purpose job descriptions.  The job descriptions include a full inventory of all relevant and required competencies (from the CIPFA Competency Model).
