Brexit and EU directives – public procurement survey results

Following the recent ‘Brexit’ vote, there is much uncertainty as to what the future holds for EU directives, such as the EU public procurement directives. With this is mind, SPS Consultancy Services has carried out an extensive survey of those involved in commissioning and procurement activities, asking what should happen to these directives: should we carry on as before, scrap them, or reform them for our benefit?

The results of the survey have been published in a report, which provides some useful background material on the directives and floats some ideas for how to build on the WTO principles that underlie the current directives, whilst shaping them to make them fit for purpose and able to serve local communities, local businesses and future economic growth.
